Crucible®Therapist & Trainer

“Some solutions to problems only exist after we go through them, because our development is the solution.”

-Dr. David Schnarch

Hi, I’m Lacy Stump, a Marriage and Family Therapist living and practicing in Wichita, Kansas. If you are seeking a therapist trained in the Crucible® Approach, you are in the right place. I have dedicated my career to becoming a master clinician in both Crucible® Approach and Crucible® Neurobiological Therapy, and I consider myself a purist in the practice of these approaches.

I was first introduced to Crucible Approach during graduate school and was immediately struck by its capacity to address real-life relationship challenges that often go overlooked in therapy. I was equally drawn to the honesty and directness the approach requires, which I believe reflects a deep level of respect for clients and their capacity for growth and accountability.

After nearly twenty years of clinical practice, I am more convinced than ever of the effectiveness of Crucible Approach and its ability to support clients facing complex and challenging relational issues. Where other approaches may fall short in addressing root causes or working effectively with difficult dynamics, Crucible Therapy offers clarity, depth, and genuine possibility for change.

I had the great privilege of training directly with Dr. David Schnarch and Dr. Ruth Morehouse for several years prior to David’s passing. Since that time, I have devoted a significant portion of my professional work to training therapists in Crucible® Approach and Crucible® Neurobiological Therapy. I am deeply committed to preserving the integrity of this work so that future generations of therapists-and the clients they serve-can benefit from its transformative potential.

Whether you are a potential client who discovered this work through one of Dr. Schnarch’s books, or a therapist drawn to the Crucible Approach through professional curiosity or training interests, I welcome you and hope you find meaningful and useful resources here.
