Lacy is a dedicated clinician, educator, and supervisor with a strong commitment to the integrity and ongoing development of Crucible® Approach. She is currently a member of the steering committee for the International Crucible Therapy Education Center (ICTEC), where her work focuses on preserving the foundational principles of the Crucible model and training therapists in its effective and ethical application.

Lacy developed a strong interest in Crucible Approach while in graduate school and, in 2016, began attending trainings directly offered by Dr. David Schnarch and Dr. Ruth Morehouse. She continued training with Dr. Schnarch and Dr. Morehouse until Dr. Schnarch’s passing in 2020 and considers it a profound privilege to have worked with both of them directly. Lacy considers herself a Crucible Therapy “purist,” believing deeply in practicing the approach as it was originally developed and intended by Dr. Schnarch.

Lacy graduated from Friends University in 2008 and is a member of Delta Kappa, the national honor society for Marriage and Family Therapists. In 2016, she earned her AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation and has provided supervision for the Friends University Marriage and Family Therapy Program as well as numerous post-graduate supervisees. She has a deep passion for case consultation, teaching, and mentoring clinicians, with the majority of her educational work centered on training therapists in Crucible Approach and Crucible Neurobiological Therapy.

At the core of Lacy’s clinical work is a strong commitment to excellence and growth—both for herself and for her clients. She is highly trained in Crucible® Neurobiological Therapy and continually works to refine effective interventions for interpersonal neurobiological wiring challenges. Her therapeutic style is direct, honest, and deeply engaged. She is willing to challenge clients when necessary, supporting them in becoming the best version of themselves, even when the work is difficult. Lacy believes everyone deserves a genuine opportunity for change and is committed to working with complex cases and clients facing serious relational and emotional challenges.

Lacy lives and practices in her hometown of Wichita, Kansas. Following her graduation, she spent several years working in community mental health, where she gained extensive experience serving diverse populations, including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. During this time, she also worked as a member of a crisis response team, further shaping her clinical depth and confidence.

She currently practices in a small private practice, Collaborative Counseling Center, alongside close friends and colleagues. The majority of her clinical work is focused on couples therapy, with particular expertise in sexual issues, intimacy concerns, and high-conflict relational patterns. Lacy also offers a four-day intensive couples therapy program, modeled after the same intensive format developed and offered by Dr. David Schnarch, providing couples with a deeply immersive and transformative therapeutic experience.
